Our inspectors all believe in enforcement of applicable building codes as they are written. This may sound like an obvious statement, but often the reality is that many inspectors don't enforce the codes as they are written, or equally as bad, they require installations to meet their own personal requirements. While we will encourage anyone to go beyond the guidelines of the codes, the installer has every right to be shown which section of the code we are referencing in citing a violation.

While customer satisfaction and knowledge of the code are important, the actual inspection methods are equally important. Each inspector conducts a thorough inspection at each and every jobsite. All of our inspectors understand the importance of this.

Our inspectors also interact with code enforcement officers and electrical inspectors from other municipalities on a regular basis. We are all members of code enforcement organizations which hold regular meetings. This serves multiple purposes:

• Expanding code knowledge by hearing what other inspectors have encountered.
• Learning what other inspectors consider important in their jurisdictions and why they feel this way.
• Informative debate on various interpretations of the code, which brings greater uniformity to the enforcement of the code among different municipalities.
